    If I used Optifine and no other mods my FPS would range from 120-300. Average computer.

    When I'm playing by myself in an average world with hills, etc., I can get a very smooth 50-60 fps.

    This is with every setting turned to max, and not babying it at all. I play on my mid-2012 Macbook Pro and it does a very nice job.

    Minecraft is not very optimized, even my Radeon 7850 can't run it at 60 fps, i can only manage about 50 fps at the best times and 30 at the worst. Maxed out i get about 30 average though. It just doesn't make any sense how I can run PlanetSide 2 on ultra at 45 frames, but minecraft on minimum gets the same frames.

    I usually get around 60-70 fps when playing solo. I get around 40-50 fps playing on a heavily-populated server. My rig is average, but it should be able to handle a game like Minecraft. I have my rendering distance on max, if it was really low then I would have high fps.

    I always limit it to 60 fps. Max settings, with Optifine and 50-60 mods installed and my world is amplified. My PC is 3 years old but it's powerful.

    I have a pretty decent gaming rig so at max setting I think I get somewhere between 150-200 fps.

    I average around 60 fps depending on the terrain and such, it might decrease even around 10-20 fps in highly textures zones but not more than that, I have a pretty good graphics card and a decent processor which is what matters when terrain is generated and that is mostly when my fps drops a bit but aside form that its pretty much ok.

    I'm not sure as I don't pay much attention to that, but I think I get around 60fpd, is here any point in going over that?

    Around 60 FPS most of the time. My computer is pretty new and doing a great job :p

    I limit it to around 60 to 100 fps because I don't see the point in getting anything higher than that. My machine is pretty well built with some top of the line components, but in a game like Minecraft, most of those things don't matter. I'm not picky. It all looks good to me.

    My computer sucks! I can get around 60 fps, but with heavy activity in the game it bogs down to less than 30. Sometimes it gets really bad and my computer gets pretty hot. I turn off the sound and set effects to low, which helps a little bit.

    Without Optifine I can get 60+ easily, but I max it at 30.
