When did you start playing Minecraft?

I started after seeing some people making youtube videos about it in 2011. I think this is pretty early compared to a lot of people. I have been playing and enjoying the game ever since! I have loved to see the progress of the game since then.

 

I started in the alpha stage as many of you did as well. Thinking about it now, minecraft has came a long way from 2011.

 

Oh wow! I started playing back in the Alpha stages, like most others! Me and my best friend were pulling an all-nighter, and we got bored! So long story short, we rolled upon minecraft and started playing!

 

I started playing a couple years ago with a ripped copy. I was just starting to get into it and I had a blast. I played it non-stop for hours on end and eventually I just bought a copy and had some fun playing with my friends.

 

Good Job, everybody had to start from somewhere. I really got into it from like word of mouth if that's how the saying goes, and finally I was hooked.

 

I started playing Minecraft sometime last year. I started pretty late. A few of my friends got me into it and before that I didn't really have any interest in it. Now I love it lol.

 

The first time was over +3 years ago. It was in-browser, and I had no idea what I was doing. I quickly got bored though.

 

2011 and going at it!

 

I started two years ago after giving it a second try. The first time I played I thought it was dumb and boring. I changed my tune quick when I figured out server play.

 

I started playing Minecraft about 3 years or so ago, right after it was initially released. A friend of mine was playing it in the computer lab at school and got a bunch of our friends to sign up and start playing it. I was a pretty bad griefer and troll at first, but once I started to get into the game and develop my own passion for it I began to work on some creations. Despite many of my computers crashing throughout the years, I still continue to play Minecraft occasionally and it's a great way to kill some time during the day or evening. Don't think I'll ever be able to quit it, haha

 

I started at Beta 1.5 It was so awesome back then!

 

I think I also started either in the alpha or beta stage. It was back when we could play only a fraction of the cost of what the real game would be. I'm pretty happy with that purchase, to be honest it gave me many hours of entertainment. Its hard to say when exactly, I think that it was at least 5 years ago.

 

I started playing Minecraft about two or three years ago. I began with trying it out on the pocket edition version of Minecraft. I must admit, at first, I hated it! I dug straight down into the earth and became trapped. I did not understand how I was supposed to survive because there was no tutorial whatsoever for me to follow in the pocket edition. However, recently this year, I noticed that a few of my friends had begun to get into Minecraft. Willing to give the game another try, I became hooked. And that was when I officially became a Minecraft fan.

 

I started playing Minecraft about a year ago, but it was very seldom. In the very beginning I absolutely hated minecraft. I didn't understand why people enjoyed it so much and what the point of it was. Now I rather enjoy it.

 

Oh I see everyone started playing around 2011, does any of us, like I do ever wonder why we didn't start earlier? cause now we can't picture our lives without minecraft.

 

To be honest I think I also joined around 2011... I had heard about it before then, but had other games on my mind.

 

I started right when 1.0.0 was released, when MC became 'official'. I was just riding the Minecraft hype train, but I'm glad I did. I don't play it as much as then, but it's charm stays the same

 

Minecraft came to me around a year and a half ago, in November 2012, when my stepson found out about it from friends. I had known about Minecraft, but not in any serious way, having only seen a couple of YouTube videos about it. We started playing it, sadly cracked at the time, and now we have 3 Minecraft licenses in the house. We started with vanilla and went into modpacks rather quickly.

 

That's what I love about this game! Your family can all play together as it is family friendly and easy for all ages. Furthermore, you want to play with mods, I want to play vanilla, some want to make their own challenges and play those. It's just such a versatile game!

 

I actually heard about Minecraft from what seemed like all my friends about three (or maybe a bit more) years ago. Back then, I used to browse MinecraftWiki since I didn't have the game, and I loved looking at the picture and sprites of the game. I almost became a Minecraft guru, because I used to browse it so much. Then my friend showed it to me on a school computer, using his own account. After that, I had to get it. And I did! So that was about two years ago. Needless to say, I have not regretted it.
