Which ES do you like best?

Oblivion easily consumed me for the greatest amount of time. There breadth of quest seemed to be greater with more interesting and unusual elements to them. I felt Skyrim took a step back towards simply trawling dungeon after dungeons doing essentially the same thing.

Weighted for their era, Morrowind was a mile ahead of its game.

Skyrim is the best Elder Scrolls I ever played. The graphics are amazing and there are tons of mods on this game.

Oblivion, then shortly followed by Skyrim. I loved the other world in Oblivion. You cross a portal then your are in another dimension. Although, it felt a bit of a chore towards the end to close the portals. And the Thieves Guild quest line was really good, too.

I played the entire series, and the ESO beta and I have to say, for me it's a tie between Skyrim and Morrowind - I think with (a lot) of modding Morrowind on the PC would be a great place to start - If I had to replay one of the elder scroll games right now, that's probably what I would do.

    Skyrim has the best graphics.
    Oblivion has the best quests.
    Morrowind has the best map.
    Daggerfall remains in my heart.

Definitely Skyrim, but only if it's a modded copy on PC. I won't settle for anything less, as the base game Skyrim (without mods) has gotten so stale for me that I just can't stand to play it any longer.

In my opinion, Online wins, just because of the massive Cyrodiil pvp mode. I found other ES games with the exception of Morrowind to be boring after a while, and mods don't interest me at all with clunky and boring combat systems like in Oblivion or Skyrim.

I honestly think I like Skyrim the best. I haven't tried ESO to know if I would enjoy it or not. I had been excited about the prospect of there being a MMO, but sort of lost that enthusiasm as I learned more about the game. Maybe I'll still get into it, though. We'll just have to see.

My favourite is Oblivion. I liked that you could wield a greatsword AND have magic equipped at the same time, something we were unable to do in Skyrim. In my opinion, the expansion packs for Oblivion were also better than the expansion packs for either Morrowind or Skyrim. Lastly, I absolutely loved some of the secondary characters in the game, especially Sheogorath and Count Skingrad.

I like to play things in order, but Arena is so Nintendo Hard, a designer allegedly can't pass the first dungeon.

Daggerfall is a lot more accessible, but it's massive. Like, don't-bother-not-fast-traveling massive. The customization is great and the story is fantastic. Just once, be in the city of Daggerfall at night, but save first. It's very creepy.

Morrowind has, in my opinion, the best story out of all of them. The lore is rich and complex and your role is entirely open to a wide variety of interpretations.

Oblivion, I haven't been able to get into properly, but I keep trying.

And lastly, Skyrim. It's beautiful with an amazing mod community. The stories you can build are amazing.

An alternative is to play each one until your character dies and then switch to the next one and go round robin. Or go in order and find a link between all of your characters.

I don't really know. If you want to START with one, then start with either Morrowind or Oblivion, and if you don't like, upgrade to a newer one. If you don't like Morrowind, which is a bit outdated and a bit old-school and unforgiving, upgrade to Oblivion. Oblivion is a lot more fun, in my opinion, and it's just a nice experience overall. There are silly quests and nice places to visit, and the graphics are actually nice, considering the game's age. If you start out with Skyrim, you will never play Oblivion, and it's really a shame to miss such a great game. I think the Online one doesn't come anywhere near the regular ones, since it doesn't have an actual story, and these games are best played alone.

Why should you try Oblivion before Skyrim? Like I said, if you don't, you'll never play it. Oblivion has this assassin quest-line, the Dark Brotherhood. Skyrim has this too, but it's done very poorly. In Oblivion, you were given bonus unique items for completing a quest in a certain way, for example, instead of stabbing your victim, change his medicine with a poison and get out. He will, of course, take the poison instead of his medicine. It adds that much depth to it, and it's a lot more fun sneaking around and doing these extra objectives.

I would have to say it's Morrowind. I think by far it had the most entrancing storyline and it was a really pretty game for it's time. But it's not like graphics are everything. I also think ti had the best mechanics and gameplay.

I liked Skyrim the most. It was a fun game and I had a lot of hours played. I also liked the modding community and how the game could be modified in such a way to become really realistic.

Just so you know, i have only played Skyrim. So don't expect much here. Although Skyrim is an amazing game. It does get boring when you've done everything. From what my friends have told me of other ES games, they sound good. But I also favor games with good graphics. And of all the ES games Skyrim so far has the best graphics. So I like this one very much. Thanks
