Fallout New Vegas was much better then Fallout 3, in my opinion. The storyline was much more enjoyable in Fallout New Vegas for me.
All of them were good, but the most memorable one for me was Fallout 3. The sequence where I emerged from the Vault to the wastelands of DC was breathtaking and sad at the same time. It made a visual and emotional impact on me that I will never forget.
I personally love Fallout: New Vegas and it's my favorite, but Fallout 3 is amazing and is a close second. For the PC Fallout games, I've played them but they're just not my cup of tea, they are amazing though and are brilliant games.
I'd personally recommend New Vegas as the place to get started. The key aspect that makes New Vegas so much better than Fallout 3 is the implantation of 'factions' within the game. As well the main paths that you can take through the core story, the way that the minor factions operate - and often conflict with one another - is engrossing and absorbing. For this reason, New Vegas has a lot of replay value. It really does feel like a different game when you take the Legion path, as distinct from NCR For me, Fallout 3 was kinds 'meh'. I played it through just the once, enjoyed it, and then put it on the shelf. The plot was decent enough, but it didn't have anything about it that made me want to replay it. Fallout 1 and 2 were brilliant games in their day - but are incredibly dated now. It's a shame - because I loved them back in the day. But I'd struggle to play either of them today.
The fallout that I enjoyed most was Fallout 3. It had a much better story than any other in my opinion. The only thing I didn't like about Fallout 3 is that it didn't have a iron sights option. I still enjoyed Fallout 3 more than I did Fallout: New Vegas.
I definitely liked 3 more than New Vegas, to me it was just so much better... New Vegas seemed to have too many nuiances, the whole reputation thing completely through me off...
For me Fallout 3 was the best out of the series. I can't imagine the work that was put in this game because the map is big and the details on the map are awesome and the game itself is gorgeous.
I loved New Vegas. Then again I loved all of their games... I really liked the old ones too. So hard to say but maybe New Vegas takes the win if I have to decide.
I really enjoyed New Vegas, they were all great games but New Vegas had me. The customization as well as the DLC blew me away, the DLC in Fallout 3 felt tacked on and weren't enjoyable. With New Vegas it was a breathe of fresh air, a new experience in each package. I also really enjoyed the workbench system, it was drastically improved over Fallout 3. Altogether a great game!
