Yeah star citizen raised 7 million in its crowd funding. I really sugest you check that out cereberus. It fits all your ideals. Modding no drm community controled, weekley free updates and expansions no pay to win. And it has a 50 mission campain as well as a persitent mmo universe.

There are many Metro fans out there. 2033's sales reached 1.5 million as of june 5th 2012. Let's say 120.000 fans pledge $25 each on Kickstarter for Last Light... Solved. Cerberus for President.

Your logic is impeccable. Unfortunately, logic doesn't seem to be all that much appreciated these days. :/

No its not. It's the 4A engine, the same engine they used in Metro 2033. Skyrim looked and played a lot better than the Metro 2033. Metro just had an amazing story line and interesting universe.

In the pc version atleast 2033 blows pretty much any game out of the water.

Not really, there are many games that have better graphics and controls than Metro 2033. This being said, Metro 2033 is still an incredible game.

Well not many PCs can run Metro 2033. The amount of detail in the game causes PCs to commit suicide. My cousin can run Skyrim on medium to high settings but can only run Metro on low to medium. He can run Crysis on like medium to slightly medium-high.

They better have considering 2033 is around 3 years old.
Saying that watching some of the Last Light videos, the PhysX effects is the best I've seen.
I hope the March 1st release date I've seen on some retailer sites is accurate, as that makes release just over a month away.
The game is coming soon. YAY!!!!

While Metro Last Light has some great lighting, I have to say that Far Cry 3 blows Last Light out of the water on that one. The way you can walk around the jungle and have the sun shine through the canopy. It seems just so damn realistic. They even give off that blinding, multi-layered light pattern. But with that said, Last Light has to come in second.

Yeah, but actually looking at them were not sure as we havent seen LL in person yet. Altough i agree that a jungle is way better to show off lighting. Crysis warhead probaly wins in that regard.

Remember that Far Cry 3 had a lot more funding and more manpower. You can't compare games like that. Also Far Cry is on a island. A beautiful island. These things have to be realistic.

Actually I'd say that LL has a better lighting system. You have to remeber that it isnt showing real sunlight but just lightbulb light in LL. Of cuarse we wont know for real until the game is out and we can see it with our eyes.

Yea I guess you're right. I just can't Metro 2033 was an amazing game even though it was a low funded game. Last Light has gotten a lot of money put into it and with release date coming up who ever buys the title is going to do a quick flip. I haven't seen that many game cults like Metro and so many new fans are popping up. I showed my friend 30 seconds of metro 2033 and he said he wants it. I told him the story and he said he is going to buy Metro 2033 and Last light. This just tells you the possibilities.

With Farcry 3 the game devs only had to deal with one source of light in most cases, the sun. To see how LL will show the cross between two or even three light sources like light bulbs will be interesting, especially how well it will turn out when one of the light sources is moving. It's the little details that stand out the most to me.

exactly why I'm saying ll will have the best. I mean LOOK at the new trailer the moving lighting is amazing. And the light from the lighter and the light from ligthbulbs feels so different

If publishers like Bethesda/ZeniMax Studios they would proabably release DLCs which would be good and they might create an open world Metro game. Which wouldn't be very open worldy

Hi guys, been away for a while. Some life happened.
I'M A FATHER NOW! YAY! :D My firstborn son is about 4 and ½ months at the moment.

Damn shame about THQ. Popped in to vote here.

EA would probably turn LL into travesty, which they seem to be prone to do with classic titles ...No dice.

Ubisoft with their crippling DRM ...No dice.

    Activision Blizzard - see Ubisoft.

Got nothing on WB, though, kinda neutral on that.

I cast my vote on "other". I'd have to agree with Cerberus, self funded would be ideal. With a near finished game in their hands, I believe Kickstarter would be success in no-time. So go ahead with that and have my money!

    Bethesda might be agreeable, too.

    EDIT
Should we write a petition for 4A or something? :)

Far Cry 3 is great, but I have high hopes Metro LL will be the game which will test the best of rigs in it's Ultra settings. I just hope it's damn optimized, which Huw said in an interview over 2 years ago (E3 2011) that it will be.

    Taken from the GeForce site:

    - DirectX 11 effects,
    - Tessellation,
    - Stereoscopic NVIDIA 3D Vision support,
    - Advanced depth of field effects,
    - Dynamic physics effects powered by NVIDIA’s hardware-accelerated PhysX technology,
    - Advanced volumetric fog,
    - Advanced simulated particle effects.

    - And with plenty of time until the game’s 2013 release even more effects are bound to be added, though going by the stunning screenshots it’s hard to see how the game’s graphics could be further improved
