Who or what introduced you to Minecraft?

I actually saw the minecraft online and was hooked. I love seeing all of the new little designs and everything. I like seeing different little cities and object. I saw someone that mad like characters and stuff like that, because I know it took them awhile to make those. I am playing now and getting into it more.

A friend of mine found Minecraft when it was in Alpha stage. I checked it out, and learned to play the game itself from SeaNanners. Good old times!

Like most things I discover online, it was thanks to YouTube videos. I wasn't impressed at first, but the freedom to build almost anything intrigued me. I actually introduced it to my five year old son. He likes to actually play the game, but I use it as a computer modeling program. Just wish that I could figure out how to add mods. Then the world would be a much better place.

I tend to ignore they current trends in gaming. Its all a marketing scheme for companies to make money. But after I had a few friends playing different variations of independent "rip-offs" of minecraft, I ended up being on e the few to actually get the original game and get a full taste of what it was all about.... and dont tell my friends this.. but I liked it. Shhh... lol.

I was playing a different game and heard about it from the community when it was still in Alpha. I picked it up a few weeks later, and even though I don't play too much anymore, I don't regret it.

At first, I saw a bunch of videos on YouTube, but didn't feel like getting into it. Then, my friends asked me to download it and play with them in LAN, so I said "ok" and started playing it. Don't really regret it, it was an ok experience overall, even if I still don't play it as much today.

My first experiences with Minecraft weren't exactly the mind blowing either. I didn't know about the blocky graphics, so that was an immediate turnoff, not to mention the lack of a tutorial.

My little cousin of course! At first I wasn't that interested with this block game. Honestly I found it boring at first. It was kinda like the sims game only the graphics looks like M.U and the people has a block for a head. But later on I learned to love the game. You can build anything you want and you can even team up with other gamers. The only limit would be your imagination!

My boyfriend introduced me to minecraft. At first I was so frustrated and confused, because I had no clue what the game was about, what the objective was, and what I was supposed to do. It took me longer than I care to admit to figure out that there really isn't a point. I started out playing survival mode, but I think I like creative mode better. The first thing I tried to build in creative mode was a hug replica of Sora, a character from Kingdom Hearts. It was really fun, and i think It turned out pretty good, except for the fact that I have no clue on how to make his head/face lol.

I wonder how many people just randomly found Minecraft on their own. I feel like most people are introduced to the game by someone else instead.

An old friend of mine showed me the game and asked me to play with him. I didn't really like it at first but after a while I've become really fond of it and I'm still enjoying playing it today.

The better question is: what hasn't mentioned Minecraft at least? I was introduced to it by literally seeing and hearing about it everywhere. Every YouTube gamer I subscribe to has played it or at least referenced to it once or twice. I see people talk about it on every forum I go to, all my friends have played it... Its all over the place. :p Its hard not to get introduced to Minecraft one way or another, haha.

When I first moved to my current school, all students were given school laptops. Many students seemed to play the game during breaks. I was simply interested and asked about it.

No one introduced me to minecraft as well. I also just randomly stumbled into this precious little gem. I thought the game was silly at first because of the graphics, like how simple it looks. Then i started wandering around the game, then i got really hooked i can't stop playing even if i was playing offline. I haven't realized the game can be played online then. Anyways, as they say the rest is history. I can totally say the graphics is what makes Minecraft such a huge hit and i really wouldn't want it to change.

It was a few years ago. A friend of mine sent me a picture of a house he built in a game he played. I got interested in this game and started playing it. Minecraft was still on Beta 1.3. There weren't much to do in the game, but somehow I just got addicted to it. I remember digging an underground house when I first played Minecraft.

Played it on my first Laptop. It was very slow and I experienced an absolute amount of lag on it. I kept restarting the game and it seemed to fix the problem for a few minutes before it lags again. Still, even with this amount of lag, I really enjoyed this game :D .

This was back in my COD days. Me and a buddy were playing some cod and when I went out into the living room his little brother was playing mincraft, we teased him because it looked stupid and boring. Then he made us try it and we just couldn't stop! Next thing I knew it was 6 hours later and I was hooked.

My friend introduced it to me while I was at his house one night. We ended up playing for hours straight together. It was a lot of fun.
