Why all the hate with micro-transactions?

Micro-transactions aren't bad, they just help keep the game running, since an average MMO cost about $2 million to make and maintain for a little bit.

I'm firmly of the idea that microtransactions are fine, as long as you aren't playing for the game itself, and the amount you "need" to spend to get a reasonable character isn't more than the price you would normally play for a full priced title. (E.g, if the exp gain is so ridiculously slow that you need a booster just to get to the level everyone else is on, the cost of said booster shouldn't be more than around 50-60 dollars).

It's perfectly fine if you do it in a F2P game, after all the developers need to pay for the servers and they deserve money for their work to feed their families.

Micro-transaction are okay, when well done, take LoL as an example, you can buy skins with real money, does skins affect gameplay or bring any type of advantage to the player who bought it? No.
But when micro-transactions are used to make the one who invested on the game, stronger, or with an advantage, that's just unfair.
