    That is truth.And one more thing, many people like mutliplayer FPS more, and Metro 2033 is singleplayer.I like singleplayer games better, especially with awesome story like Metro,and.....Atmosphere....Wooow,can't find words to describe how good Metro 2033 atmosphere is.:)

    I like MP and SP games equaly, but i get less angry dieing in SP rather in MP. Ukrains and russians games are famous of there atmosphere and they are really diferent from western Europe or USA games. Uk/russian games has the depth wich i miss in others games

    well, some ppl don't like linear games and prefer sandbox, eg: Stalker trilogy.

    I used to belong to that group until I decided to try Metro, and ended up loving it.

    Still love Stalker, but now Metro has joined it in my list of best PC games ever.

    Most gamer nowadays hold priority of graphics over gameplay. I personally don't care about graphics. Its the gameplay that counts :D.

    part of it i think is that some people did not learn to immerse themselves into fantasy worlds as young people and so when they approach the game, mentally they don't have any way to connect with the "experience" of it and are only able to focus on the gameplay elements. They don't feel much danger or amazement at their surroundings since they don't look at it that way in the first place. I think my Dad's this way, but he says if he ever starts playing video games, he'll never stop.

    It's just not a mainstream game, in terms of concept and technology. It won't be as popular as other games, but that can be a good thing for the IP.

    I think the fact that it's "foreign", quite a few people won't play it. The only non-Americanized games that most people will play are Japanese ones. 4A Games (Metro 2033), the Polish CDProjektRed (the Witcher series), as well as the Spanish company MercurySteam (Jericho and Castlevania Lords of Shadow) are some of my favorite game developers simply because they avoid the cliche, Hollywood mainstream.

    As these series gain the recognition they deserve, the popularity will increase dramatically. GSC (STALKER series) is a prime example of how well-known they can become.

    Gah I've hated Jericho my entire life, but what one person hates the other might hold dear.

    I don't like japanese games, even if I love their anime. The good ones are always on ps3/xbox360, and the PC gets visual novels(the story is awesome, but it makes me sleepy), arcade games ( I can't stand them).
    The only japanese game I've respected is The Last Remnant. If you haven't played it and want to have 60hrs of entertainment, provided you tolerate 2007 graphics, its a great game.

    Well here is the reason why some people don't like Metro. They don't like the game style. Most if not all of us here don't like CoD yet many people do. People just have their preference but sometimes people are just stupid. Metro is an amazing game.

    You can't argue taste. Games like CoD are more action movie or war movie. Games like Metro are more drama with a healthy portion of action
