Why do you play Minecraft?

I play Minecraft because of its "Lego" aspect, basically being able to build anything I like.

 

It really kind of takes me back to when I was playing with Lego's as a kid, I would play with them for hours and it was very relaxing. Minecraft is a world full of "Do anything you want, your imagination is endless" kind of thing. It really does relax me and I like to play it before I get into any other game.

 

I play minecraft because it was the first sandbox game I ever found. I love it because of all the cool customizable stuff you can do in it. I know a lot of people are falling out of love with it but me and one of my best friends still enjoy it and we are 25 and 28 y/o respectively.

 

I like challenging myself with building bigger and better things. I am usually thinking of crazy ideas like underground houses, massive castles, or recreating classic video game scenery. It's the same feeling I get when playing with Legos or making sand castles. It's building a 3D world that you are free to explore in and manipulate and your own will.

 

I play minecraft to express my creative side and build something. Minecraft for me is like Legos; it's like a hobby and a passion. I used to play it with friends but they quit and the server I played on for years shutdown so it has become a single player thing now.

 

My only reason is to see what other people created and explore a world I have never seen before. This is one of the biggest reasons why I want to play No Man's Sky. It's not about the building aspect that gets me going. My imagination is largely dependent on what someone else creates.

 

I like to build, for me its all about the survival and the building and even once I can easily survive I still feel the need to build until Im satisfied which is long long after Im actually safe and sustainable. I definitely need to look into some hardcore survival mods.

 

It so much fun to build. You get a great sense of accomplishment when you completely something. The tedious and monotonous work pays off when you zoom out and look at your creation. The funnest part is sharing it with friends.

Survival worlds can be rewarding too. It's fun straight from the start. It's fun to see yourself win over the terrain, mobs, etc. You control the world around you more and more.

 

I love playing Minecraft because it allows for so much creativity, there is no other game like it.
You can do almost anything you want in it and that's something that no other game offers.

 

I like exploring, and building things, so Minecraft is perfect for me. Nothing is ever exactly the same. I play a lot with friends to and it's endless fun.

 

Personally I play it because I love building things, but also because I'm bored and it's something to do. It's sucked me in!

 

I play Minecraft because of its open world and the adventures it has to offer. Adventuring in the wilderness can be quite fun and a challenge. I also enjoy Minecraft because it's a fun game where anyone can play with you, whether it's your family to your neighbours, there is no age limit on who can play this fantastic game.

 

I just love creating and destroying things to be honest.

 

@Why do you play minecraft?
I play Minecraft for the sense of a true survival game whilst giving me access to my creativity. I can't find another game that does it in such a way or so well.

 

When I play, it's to just relax. I don't have any other goal when I play it but to run around and do whatever I feel like doing to pass the time. It's a good place to start working on getting away from stress from my day to day life. Kind of like meditation in a way!

 

I play Minecraft online because I enjoy the competitive aspect of it. I like servers that don't start you off with Protection 9001 or who knows what they'd do. I like servers where the kit would be like some stone tools or something and everyone on the server is legit. You start off in the wild and the SMP Vanilla starts. I also like when they add McMMO to the mix. I love competing for that top rank on /mctop in skills like fishing, woodcutting, mining, excavation, repair, etc. It keeps me playing the game and that's what makes it so fun.

 

I play minecraft for the fun of it. I love the creativity parts. I have only played PvP a few times with friends, yeah it was fun, but honestly I love building and exploring. It's also a great game to play to pass time. No worrying to get to a check point, no lengthy videos, just good fun.

 

I play minecraft for a lot of reasons. I play it because i was drawn to the unique concept and graphics of the game, it is completely different from most online games today. Another reason is I enjoy building and crafting things and designing my own house with endless possibilities of style and such. And on top of it all, i enjoy exploring the endless world of minecraft. Oh not to mention, how fun the game is!

 

I love to explore and express my creativity in Minecraft, so I build a lot for pleasure.

 

I enjoy exploring endless worlds. I am not a creative person, but for some reason, I feel really creative when I play Minecraft. Lol. And you can do anything in this game. Tons of mods to choose from too so you can't run out of things to do.
