I play MMORPG games because I think they're quite interesting, they put my imagination into reality, virtually. I think I would choose MMORPG games because I sense adventure and challenges, but of course not all MMORPG are of adventure but have the same boring system of questing and dungeons and PVP.

I suppose my reasoning is simplistic enough in it's desires. I simply wish for something to do when I have time enough to do it that isn't essentially mindless but still doesn't require too taxing of a thought process and is a fun way to communicate and hang out with an assortment of friends and people.

Its for a couple of reasons. I enjoy the unpredictability of human beings, I enjoy making friends and talking to people, and you will never play the same game twice.

The reason I play mmo games is because I can play them with people I know and team up with them and have real fun. It is nice to take up spare time getting lost in the game and just get away from reality a bit too.

My reason for MMOs are I find them to be competitive with other players and it's the competition that I'm mostly addicted to. I like the recognition I get for doing great, and knowing the other person is probably at the edge of their seat trying to outdo me or beat me, depends on the game of course. I also enjoy seeing my enemies rage at times, of course I hate it when my allies/teammates do it. Overall it's just fun interacting online, it's like chatting and gaming at the same time in most cases.

I love playing with actual humans, that's pretty much it. A competitive playground is much more entertaining than one which is surrounded by AI. And I don't think that someone could disagree with me on this.

    1) Kill time
    2) To de-stress myself
    3) Escape reality after a tiring day
    4) Have fun with friends after work/projects
    5) Meet new people
    6) Enjoy the life you wish you had in a game haha

Mostly because they are fun and i like interacting with people from all over the globe. It's also a great way to forget when things in the real world is overwhelming. So you just shut off the real world mode and game on for virtual mode. It's fun. :p

For me this is so obvious. I like to play against human beings and win against them. I like to be able to level up or have better items than them, things I could not usually do in real life because of social classes.

Why I play a game depends on the individual game. I play games like EVE for the combination of social elements and the complex mechanics. I play games like WoW or various MMORPGs because I enjoy the lore and D&D-esque elements of the game. I also enjoy RP in these games within the more dedicated player groups in these games.

A lot of people say it is to play with other people, but for me it is the ´never ending´ part to character progression. I used to love games like Ultima and Might and Magic, but when you got to the end of the game, there was nothing left.. you just started over with different character. I enjoy MMORPGs because my main character constantly has progression.

I have found that MMOs are a great way to interact with friends and to meet new people. I have met some of my good friends through MMOs.

It is fun to gradually progress your character through a never-ending adventure. That the game world feels like a living, breathing world that is constantly evolving is an element that I enjoy.

All in all, it has been an entertaining way to pass my free time.
