    I don't really get it, tbh. Most of the stuff Komo posts are funny, but I just don't understand this one. Is it referencing something by using that poster?

    What's next generation now? Since PS4 and X1 are current gen (PS3 and X360 being last gen), and PC was already ahead of current gen consoles before they were released. I know what you meant, I just find it funny how silly these terms are when used seriously, especially when in the context of PC gaming.

    The consoles are still decently new and nowhere near as widespread as the previous gen. We're kinda at a middle ground, where "current" or "next" would really be seen as referring to 8th gen.

    What's really nice is, when the game's out and older, and pc hardware is capable of running it easily *maybe 2-3 years from now*, we'll have mods making it look even better with even bigger environments! :D

    Well, Witcher 2's about that old, and it's still a pretty intensive game, as surprisingly well optimized as it is. (ubersampling not withstanding) And without a mod-building kit like G.E.C.K. or an SDK, I doubt we'd be seeing anything beyond perhaps a high-res texture pack (which is hardly necessary considering Witcher 2 still has great textures), or something like a SweetFX or ENB mod pack.

    Though any of those are pretty unlikely, considering how graphically intensive and good looking the previous game still is on today's hardware.

    In all honesty, even though W2 is over 3 years old, it still looks gorgeous (I can play it on ultra without ubersampling, though I keep all types of DOF switched off as well since in my opinion they ruin the game's beautiful graphics). Visually, the only things that sometimes bother me are: the somewhat poor draw distance (for detail fade) and the slightly outdated facial animations (for characters). I think we're more likely to see modding of this trilogy continue in a story-focused direction, rather than visual enhancements. All types of mods are great though, it's always nice to have choice. Personally I haven't modded either of the games, though I certainly wouldn't mind checking out some of the new stories that have been made by modders using the REDkit.

    From what I've seen from mods, apart from the really well made ones which people have put time and effort in to, it becomes 'hahahaha, I made all the girls naked, boobs'

    Important news for everyone who is planning on playing the game:

    It looks like someone hacked into CD Projekt's stuff and leaked a shitload of documents from W3. Plenty of spoilers for the story, including the various endings, can now be found. The good news is the leaked info also tells us that the game can already be completed without any game-breaking bugs, though other issues are of course present at this moment in development and content for the game is still being made. I'd advise everyone to be very careful about what they read about this game online - it's probably best to stay away from comments sections below articles and videos related to the game entirely, since there are always trolls and assholes who want to spoil the fun for everyone else. You haven been warned.

    EDIT: To clarify, yes I know how things work in capitalism and that this is how a company grows naturally (but that still doesn't mean I have to like any of it).
