World War 3

What North Korea might want to do with all their threats is to take the fight to their home court, because a third or something of all their factories and production is located underground, in preparation for war. They are a total war nation.

 

I think people are more worried about themselves these days. Its not like WWI where one spark would set it off, even with alliances. The UN would be a major check on that sort of thing. I think China would keep North Korea in check so that they would not be the ones to start it.

If there was one though, I think that it would be more the kind with a clear frontline, more or less. There would likely be some sort of insurgency within the conquered territory.

 

I'm actually doing a large assignment about "Evolution of war", and we'll also work on how future warfare will be in our conclusion, so any serious and reasonable posts in this thread will be appreciated

Or, considering the recent cyber-attacks by hackers originating from the Chinese military, and given that China is now the centre of world manufacturing and commerce, and are rapidly expanding to be the next "super power", they will be the ones to have the necessary might to take on the US.

But the title of the thread talks of "World War", modern warfare simply isnt fought in the same way as WW1 and WW2. A modern world war would be fought in a matter of days, not years if nations used the full extent of their arsenals.

Einstein's story is a funny one. He was a Jew and a Socialist. Many people are prejudiced (especially in the West) towards Jews and Socialists, but even they quote Einstein... I'm not saying you're prejudiced Pip, it's just something that I remember now since I've heard many other people (with plenty of racist views) quote him.

 

Interesting take on the quote. I was not by any means stating that I am sided with what he had to say. I just saw the title of the thread, remembered the quote I had heard when I was a child, and felt like it was a fit.

 

If ww4 is going to be fought whit sticks and stones i think the guys with stones would win.

 

Unless the guys with sticks put the stones on the sticks and gets spears.

i'd say that islam WILL start ww3. but not Muslims. I'd say it would be neo-nazis that will start a new Holocaust on muslims.

Somehow I think the collapse of, say USA or any other of the world powers will have a roll to play in the initiation of WW3.

I highly doubt WW3 will be fought over religious or political reason though, morelike it will be a desperate struggle for dominion over our earths dwindling resources.
