Your opinion on hackers?

As long as they are not bothering us players, then I think it OK. Well, I should say this. As long as they don't impact the game, then it is fine.

 

Singleplayer is perfectly 100% acceptable in my opinion but when it carries in onto multiplayer and disrupts or changes the gameplay in a way for other plays who might not want it and are powerless then that's where I draw the line.

 

I like mods and hate hackers. I like to mod when I am playing games. It makes it more fun when you have already beaten the game.

 

Well if you are using hacks playing alone then go do it. You are the one playing the game and its upto you how you enjoy it.

Oh those people who hack in multiplayer games or in online tournaments should be flayed and hung.

 

Honestly, if it doesn't affect other players, I could care less. It's not right, but if it doesn't bother others, it's not my problem. I do hate it when they use against others or when it ruins the game for other people. I don't want to fight against someone and lose because they have an unfair advantage over me. It's also horrible when they hack into other people's accounts and steal the things others have really worked hard for.

 

Hacks when you're playing alone don't bother me. By all means, do what you want with it since it's your game but don't use them online and ruin other people's games. I played Diablo 3 co op online on the 360 and the modded gears ruined everything for me. If you're going to get online and kill everything yourself then might as well go solo. What's the point of multiplayer when you're going to do everything yourself anyway.

 

Don't like them either, unless they just do stuff that doesn't affect the gameplay of others. Pranks are okay in my book too. Most of the time it seems like the hacks are used to troll or gain an advantage though, and I'm not cool with that.

 

Usually when I think of hackers I think of people that steal peoples items and stuff which is the worst thing that can happen to a player in my opinion.

 

Actually those are the worst, they steal other people's accounts and cause the real player to be banned and stuff. One of the reason why I'm hesitant to play online these days because we'll never know when someone will hack into our game.

 

I agree that's one of the coms of playing MMO's it would suck to play an MMO that you enjoy then a year or two later you get hacked I think if that happened to me I don't think I would start over fresh, but many people do it.

 

They are just wasting their money. If they aren't bothering me, other players, or just being obnoxious then it's their own choice I guess lol. Just a waste of time and money on their part.

 

I hate all of them. They're just ruining the game experience for everyone else, and I don't even know how they have fun doing that.

 

What's the point in hacking in an MMO? The GM's are going to ban you soon enough, and there goes your money for the game/sub. And all for what, a feeling of superiority? Let me just tell you now, gaining advantage over others with such techniques makes you weaker and inferior, at least in my eyes.

 

It depends on the game sometimes hackers don't get caught since their are so many of them also most of the hackers are old players that have either have been hacked themselves or got banned before.

 

They can GTFO right out. I prefer my MMO's economy not tanking horribly thanks.

 

I honestly don't get hackers. The purpose of hacking and using cheats in a game is to simplify and make it so easy that you don't even have to try, and where's all the fun in that? I get that sometimes it might be fun, but whenever something has no challenge, it gets old really fast, so I imagine those kind of people don't stick around too much. Not to mention that they are at a very high risk of getting banned, sometimes permanently, and you have to ask, is it really worth it? Especially in an MMO with monthly fees.

 

If it's an MMO, I hate modders/hackers. If it's a single player game, even I'll mod it. Just don't ruin the experience for everyone else, keep modding on single player games.

 

Hackers who do it just for the fun of it or, even worse, to piss people off are just idiots. Doing that only proves that you're a piece of shit that has no other source of happiness in his life.

 

I don't know why anyone would like hackers messing around with online games. They completely ruin the balance of a game just for their own personal gain.

 

Honestly I don't mind if people use bots/macros on occasion if they don't abuse it. I do not appreciate people who hack into others' accounts to steal their stuff.
