Your post apocalyptic plan

That really depends on how the virus is. Highly likely and most reasonably in the head, yes, but not necessarily always like the way it in in The Walking Dead

I wouldn't last an apocalypse, I believe. I'm a good runner and a good fighter, but I'm not a good planner. One gun, one bullet. That'd do the trick, if I'd even get that far

My ultimate dream would be to find a Ford Shelby Mustand GT500, a Crossbow, a Bow, lots of arrows, probably some silenced pistols and a lot of ammunition as well, and a large large storage of long-lasting food, preferrably canned food. I'd simply just run around on a killing spree as if it was Apocalyptic GTA IRL. Lol.

I'm guessing your basing your knowledge of anarchism on what they teach in schools. Still, even if not, then everyone is still entitled to their own opinion. It's not like I expect anyone to agree. I'm just surprised that most people accept the propaganda fed to them everyday and never look for any alternatives. Which is what I was talking about in my first post on the subject, btw.

Please no. We would get targeted by so many far right groups on the internet that the forum would have to be shut down. Also... we'd have to deal with all of the misconceptions people have about anarchy and listen to them going about, screaming that: "ANARCHISM IS CHAOS!" and stuff. I actually regret it that I brought it up now. :lol:

Anyway, sorry for going off-topic. I just never thought that any of you would call the collapse of a government an apocalypse.

I don't allow American educational institutions to brainwash me with supposed "propaganda". Anarchy is a transitional form of rule that has literally never succeeded long-term in the past, and will (most likely) never succeed in the future in large-scale communities, unless every fucking human becomes benevolent as opposed to malevolent. Which is so unlikely; I'd have a better chance of getting laid. We're never going to go back to a government-less system because we (as a human race) have literally gotten too big for our britches.

I'm open to other ideas, so if I'm wrong in any of the assertions above, please correct me.

 

I agree. But I say it would be an apocalpsye becyase were spoiled. We rely to much on the goverementts. When we lose them the weak wil go wild, chaos will insure.

 

People will form governments and create societies that might be even better then those we have today.

The Fallout games can be used as an example of Anarchism and close to Apocalypse.

 

Take metro as what might happen as well. It all depends on what people end up doing.

 

How would you define anarchism? I don't know that much about it, other than what I've read in U.S. history books, which - in my case- seemed to try to give them fair shake. The most I remember are Sacco and Vanzetti, who were unfairly blamed for violence at a protest and unfairly executed. I go to a very good school, so I suppose I may be giving the public school system too much credit.

Anyway, back to post apocalyptic-ism. I think that people will probably band together no matter what, even its in the form of small groups of four or five families, like the Walking Dead or something. And we tend to create some sort of organized structure

 

In a Real situation, I would throw away all the Common concepts for zombies, and just look at them like Humans, I mean, sure they will probs have the possibilty to Ignore Reason, human Feels, pain etc... But a Bone is a bone, a Tendon is a Tendon etc... you chuck a bullet downrange at them, their going down if you hit something important.


Isnt Anarchy just the lack of Government? even with no Government their will always be a top dog and Human Reason, even if the world has gone to shit. Its just that justice wont be fluffy and will be more harsh in most instances, also more fast acting based on Thoughts more than evidence

Exactly. But don't confuse "Anarchy" and "Anarchism", the concepts are ratehr different.

Well, i define the term "Apocalypse" as the end of the world as we know it today. Apocalypse doesn't mean that we would all die, like in religious apocalypses and stuff. Just a very big change.

And yes, there are episodes of anarchism or communism that have worked in history. The most famouse is the Commune of Paris, in 1871, which is praised by Marx as a true example of Communism.

Also, do not forget the Partisan Republics in Italy during WW2, most of which were overrun by fascists in a matter of days, but some did last long enough to show how a small community can organise itself.
For example, the Partisan Republic of Valsesia was able to resist all attacks from the fascist forces and lasted until the complete liberation of Italy, on 25th April 1945(!!).
It even had its own army Brigata Divisione Valsesia ("Valsesia Division" Brigade), working hospitals, hospices orphanages, a University and more!
And this is only one of the many experiences of the Partisan Republics.

 

don't forget also we could have an apocalypse due to natural disasters, without the existance of mutants/zombies, or a nuclear war.
